There are few things that get the Melbourne Lyf team quite as excited as the prospect of kebabs, so when we found out a Biggie Smalls was opening in Chapel Street, well, let’s just say we got a wee bit excited.
Something like this:
- Biggie Smalls Kbabs
- 36 Chapel Street, Windsor
- Opens September 28
Acclaimed chef and restaurateur Shane Delia is set to open the second Biggie Smalls Kbabs store in Windsor with a fully reloaded menu.
We’re talking the best sellers like ‘B.S.P’ (Biggie Smalls Snack Pack available with chicken, bacon and gravy) and the “secret” kbab for Windsor called the ‘O.D.B’ with pork and prawn shumai, hoisin mayo, pickled ginger slaw and chilli jam.
Shane reckons there’s a kebab shortage south of the river, or at the very least, enough of a gap in the market for Biggie Smalls to hit the right notes.
“It’s always a huge risk opening up a shop these days, especially doing it at the level we do but I am confident that there’s a huge gap down that end of town for our reloaded product.”
And he’s not mucking around either – bringing utilising the talents of Yamaha Audio Visual to create an atmosphere which will keep you coming back for more.
“We really want Windsor to be a premium experience – world class spirits and beer, food and quality beats with a first-class audio system”, says Delia.
Can we talk dranks?
Speaking of spirits, made-to-order cocktails including an exclusive Four Pillars Distillery ‘Gin and Juice’ will be on a rotating menu.
The first Four Pillars’ Biggie special will feature pomegranate, cloudy apple, spiced syrup and Four Pillars’ ‘Rare Dry Gin’.
Other house cocktails include ‘Back to the Bridge’ – tequila, pomegranate liqueur, Cointreau and sumac salt, ‘One Love’ – maple infused bourbon, bitters and smoked blueberries and ‘Long Kiss Goodnight’ – dark rum, spiced syrup, stewed apples and short bread crumb.
There will also be beer will be on tap.
