Federation Square.

If you’re one of the many fans who missed out on tickets, don’t stress, there’s another way to enjoy the game with the same (or pretty close) atmosphere which we know you football fans crave.

Head down to Federation Square, for a night of football and Latin entertainment, including:

  • interactive games
  • capoeira
  • cultural dancers
  • competitions
  • ticket give-aways
  • comedy by Simon Palomares
  • and, of course a live screening of the match

There will be food trucks on-site (this is Melbourne after all), and tickets for the Brazil versus Socceroos match on June 13 also available to purchase.

The party starts from 12 noon.

Going to the game?

Tips from the ‘G…

AVOID THE QUEUES – ARRIVE EARLY

Security procedures such as bag checks and patron scanning will be in place as fans make their way into the stadium.

This process will lead to minor delays, so it is recommended that you arrive as early as possible to avoid missing any of the match.

PLAN YOUR TRIP – SWAN STREET BRIDGE WORKS

Work continues on an upgrade to Swan Street Bridge.

Lane closures on the bridge will lead to traffic congestion and additional travel time. We therefore recommend fans plan ahead and take an alternative route, or avoid driving all the way to the MCG and catch public transport instead.

CAR PARKING

Due to expected demand, car parking space in Yarra Park will be very limited. We recommend fans avoid driving all the way to the MCG if possible.

Please note: At the end of the night, vehicles parked in Yarra Park will be held back for a period of time until pedestrians have safely cleared the precinct.
