We’re talking 25 different dumplings for you to get your chopsticks around! Now that’s a degustation we can get behind. And the Oriental Teahouse doesn’t muck around when it comes to flavours.

The menu boasts unique options such as:

  • wild mushrooms
  • lobster
  • black bean Angus beef
  • green curry lamb
  • flame thrower pulled pork
  • And an AFL-themed football dumpling – pork, shrimp, dried shiitake and bamboo with a crispy bacon and sesame top.

There will also be five new flavours never before seen on the menu.

Don’t worry, for all you traditionalists there will also be classics such as xiao long bao, pan-fried pork and chive dumplings.

‘Will there be booze?’ We hear you ask. Why yes, yes there will.

You can choose from an “all-encompassing beverage package” that includes matched craft beer, cocktail, wine, sake and premium tea, or, if you’re painfully making your way through Dry July, there is an optional premium teas match.

There is also the option to pay for dumplings and select drinks on the night.

About Oriental Teahouse

Connecting the dots between Chinese tradition and the contemporary Melbourne dining scene, Oriental Teahouse prides itself on tea and yum cha.

They’re not afraid to push the envelope, offering  dumplings stuffed with chilli wagyu beef or even white chocolate!

Each signature tea blend is hand-crafted by Oriental Teahouse founder David Zhou.

The first Oriental Teahouse opened 10 years ago on Chapel Street in South Yarra.

Three more have followed since  – along with an upstairs Oriental drinking den, Zhou Zhou Bar.
