In the mood for dumplings? ALWAYS. Well Oriental Teahouse is bringing its Dumpling Degustation back to Chapel Street.
After crushing it during their first dumpling degustation, which was held as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, the South Yarra legends are have announced a second event!

We’re talking 25 different dumplings for you to get your chopsticks around! Now that’s a degustation we can get behind. And the Oriental Teahouse doesn’t muck around when it comes to flavours.
The menu boasts unique options such as:
- wild mushrooms
- black bean Angus beef
- green curry lamb
- flame thrower pulled pork
- And an AFL-themed football dumpling – pork, shrimp, dried shiitake and bamboo with a crispy bacon and sesame top.
There will also be five new flavours never before seen on the menu.
Don’t worry, for all you traditionalists there will also be classics such as xiao long bao, pan-fried pork and chive dumplings.
‘Will there be booze?’ We hear you ask. Why yes, yes there will.
You can choose from an “all-encompassing beverage package” that includes matched craft beer, cocktail, wine, sake and premium tea, or, if you’re painfully making your way through Dry July, there is an optional premium teas match.
There is also the option to pay for dumplings and select drinks on the night.
